❌ We are NOT responsible for lost, damaged, or inaccessible document data

Always keep original physical documents in secure locations and maintain official copies with relevant authorities.

By using this Service, you acknowledge that:

You are using Digital Identity solely for personal organization and convenience
You will not rely on the Service as the sole storage for important documents
You understand the Service is not a substitute for official document storage
You are responsible for securing your device and backing up your data

4. Eligibility

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Digital Identity.

If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service
If you are a parent or guardian permitting a minor to use the Service, you agree to supervise their use and accept these Terms on their behalf

No Account Required

Digital Identity operates 100% offline with NO user accounts:

5. User Responsibilities

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

Device Security Responsibility

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for:

✅ Securing your device with a strong passcode/password
✅ Protecting physical access to your device
✅ Backing up your data using device backup or app export feature
✅ Keeping original documents in secure physical locations
✅ Understanding data loss risks - Uninstalling the app deletes all local data

We are NOT responsible for data loss, device theft, unauthorized access, or any other security issues related to your device.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to:

Text, graphics, logos, icons
Software, code, and algorithms
Design, layout, and user interface
Trademarks and branding

...are owned by Digital Identity or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You own 100% of your content - documents, notes, contact information, and all data you create in the Service.

Since Digital Identity operates entirely offline:

✅ Complete control: Edit, delete, or export your data anytime
✅ Local storage only: Your content stays on YOUR device
✅ No server uploads: We never receive, store, or access your content
✅ No licensing: You don't need to grant us any rights to your content

❌ Store your content on servers (there are no servers!)
❌ Share your content with anyone
❌ Use your content for any purpose
❌ Claim any rights to your content

Your data is YOURS and YOURS ALONE.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

You may choose whether to subscribe

9. Service Availability

No Guarantee of Availability

We strive to provide reliable Service, but we do NOT guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free access
Specific uptime percentages
Freedom from bugs or technical issues
Compatibility with all devices or operating systems

Maintenance and Updates

We may:

Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance
Update the Service with new features or improvements
Temporarily suspend the Service for technical reasons

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"

- Device theft, unauthorized access, or security breaches
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Data loss from device failure, app uninstallation, or any other cause
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (currently $0)

You use the Service at your own risk and are solely responsible for securing your device and data.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Digital Identity, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Any content you submit or store
Data loss or security breaches on your device

12. Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using the Service at any time. Simply uninstall the app to remove all local data from your device.

IMPORTANT: Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored document data. Ensure you export/backup your data before uninstalling.

Our Right to Terminate

Since the app operates offline with no user accounts, we cannot remotely terminate your access. However, we reserve the right to:

Remove the app from app stores if Terms are violated on a large scale
Discontinue development or support of the Service

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to access the Service ceases immediately
All local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app
These Terms survive termination where applicable (e.g., liability limitations)

13. Changes to Terms

Your Acceptance

Dispute Resolution

Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class actions.
