1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Quarey: QR Generator & Scan ("the App") handles your information. Quarey: QR Generator & Scan is a QR code generation and scanning application developed by Umit UZ that creates and scans QR codes and barcodes.

Quarey is designed with privacy as a core principle. All your QR data and scan records stay on your device. The App does not require an account and does not access or share your records.

2. Information We Collect

Quarey does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers. Your generated QR codes, scan history, and links are stored exclusively on your device.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Generated QR codes: QR codes you create and their customization settings
  • Scan history: Past scans and their linked content, kept locally for reference
  • Preferences: Display and organization settings

3. No Account or Login Required

Quarey: QR Generator & Scan does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

Quarey uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising networks. QR generation and scanning are performed locally on your device using Apple's AVFoundation and Core Graphics frameworks.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Quarey: QR Generator & Scan does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Quarey: QR Generator & Scan requires an internet connection only for:

  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)
  • Opening the URLs or links decoded from scanned QR codes when you tap them

All QR generation, scanning, and history work fully offline. An internet connection is only needed if a scanned link points to a website you choose to open.

7. Camera Access

Quarey uses the camera to scan QR codes and barcodes. The camera is accessed only while you are actively scanning, and no camera video or images are recorded, saved, or transmitted — only the decoded content of the code is read in real time. Permission is requested once and can be withdrawn in iOS Settings.

8. Data Sharing

Quarey: QR Generator & Scan does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

9. Children's Privacy

Quarey: QR Generator & Scan is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

You can clear your scan history and generated codes from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
