1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Roqo ("the App") handles your information. Roqo is an AI-powered rock and mineral identification guide developed by Umit UZ.

Roqo is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App does not require an account, and your data is stored locally on your device.

2. Information We Collect

Roqo collects minimal data to provide rock and mineral identification services. When you use the camera or photo library to identify rocks, photos are processed locally on your device using AI technology. We do not store or transmit your photos to external servers. Camera access is used to take photos of rocks, minerals, and crystals for identification. Photo library access is used to select existing rock photos from your device. Both permissions are optional - the app functions without them, though identification features require photo access. We store your app preferences (selected goals, experience level, category interests) locally to personalize your experience. Your rock collection, identification history, wishlist, and notes are stored on your device. For Pro subscribers, collection data may sync via iCloud using your private CloudKit database. We do not collect personal identifiers, location data, browsing history, or usage analytics. No tracking or profiling is performed.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • User preferences and settings
  • App content and data you create
  • Camera-captured content (stored locally only)

2.2 Local Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage mechanisms: For Pro subscribers with iCloud sync enabled, your rock collection syncs to your private iCloud container via CloudKit. This data is encrypted and only accessible by you across your devices. Roqo does not have access to your iCloud data. Photos used for identification are processed on-device and are not stored permanently unless you explicitly save them to your collection.

  • User preferences and onboarding choices
  • Rock collection with custom notes
  • Identification history (last 100 sessions)
  • Wishlist and favorites
  • App settings and configuration

3. No Account or Login Required

Roqo does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

Roqo integrates the following services: RevenueCat (Subscription Management) RevenueCat processes subscription purchases and receipts. Only anonymized transaction identifiers and subscription status are shared for verification purposes. All payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple CloudKit (iCloud Sync) For Pro subscribers, CloudKit provides secure, encrypted synchronization of your rock collection, history, and preferences across your devices. Your data is stored in your private iCloud container, which only you can access. Roqo does not have access to your synced data. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not use analytics or tracking services.

4.1 RevenueCat

Roqo offers subscriptions managed through RevenueCat, which processes only the standard Apple App Store transaction data required to validate your subscription. No personal information or app content is shared beyond what Apple provides.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Roqo does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Roqo requires an internet connection only for:

  • Subscription validation (when making or restoring a purchase)
  • Opening external links you tap (support page, privacy policy, terms of service)

7. Data Sharing

Roqo does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Roqo is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. To delete all App data, you can:

  • Delete the App from your device, which removes all locally stored data
  • Reset the App's data through iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Roqo > Delete App

No data exists on any remote server, so there is nothing to request deletion of from the developer.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
