1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Dareo: Truth or Dare ("the App") handles your information. Dareo: Truth or Dare is a Truth or Dare party game developed by Umit UZ with three game modes, a spinning wheel, and 900+ questions across 50+ categories.

Dareo is designed with privacy as a core principle. Everything stays on your device. The App does not require an account and does not collect personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Dareo does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers. No data leaves your device.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Players: Player names, custom SF Symbol icons, and per-player scores for Group mode (up to 10 players)
  • Game history: Up to 100 past games with Truth vs Dare breakdown, completion rates, and results
  • Favorites: Questions you have bookmarked for easy revisit
  • Custom questions: Truth or Dare questions you have created, edited, and added to the game
  • Achievements: 10 unlockable milestones (First Game, Truth Seeker, Dare Devil, streaks, and more)
  • Onboarding data: Partner name, comfort level, and selected game preferences
  • Preferences: Selected theme (Purple, Rose, Ocean, Forest, Sunset, Midnight), sound effects, and haptic settings

3. No Account or Login Required

Dareo: Truth or Dare does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

Dareo uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud services. Everything runs locally on your device.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Dareo: Truth or Dare does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Dareo: Truth or Dare requires an internet connection only for:

  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support, App Store review)

All gameplay — spinning wheel, questions, custom content, scores, and achievements — works fully offline.

7. Data Sharing

Dareo: Truth or Dare does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Dareo: Truth or Dare is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Dareo is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Some question categories may contain mature themes; player discretion is advised.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can clear your game history, favorites, and custom questions from within the App. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
