1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Rando: AI Activity Discovery ("the App") handles your information. Rando: AI Activity Discovery is an AI-powered activity discovery and suggestion application developed by Umit UZ that recommends personalized activities based on your mood, time, and preferences.

Rando is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your favorites and history stay on your device. The App does not require an account. Activity-generation requests are sent to a third-party AI service only to produce suggestions (described below).

2. Information We Collect

Rando does not collect personal information on remote servers. Your favorites, history, and progress are stored exclusively on your device. No data leaves your device except for AI activity-generation requests (described below).

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Favorites & library: Activities you have saved, with personal notes
  • History: Your activity completion history
  • Progress: XP, level, daily streaks, achievements, and mood analytics
  • Preferences: Selected categories, difficulty levels, and mood / time filters

2.2 Data Transmitted to Third Parties

When you request an activity suggestion, your current mood, available time, and selected preferences are sent to Groq (via the Groq API) to generate personalized activities. This transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. No personal identity information, account data, or device identifiers are included.

3. No Account or Login Required

Rando: AI Activity Discovery does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Groq AI

Rando uses Groq's API to generate AI-powered activity suggestions and tips. When you request an activity, your mood, time, and preferences are sent to Groq. Groq's handling of this data is governed by Groq's own privacy policy. The Groq API key is the developer's bundled key.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Rando: AI Activity Discovery does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Rando: AI Activity Discovery requires an internet connection only for:

  • AI activity generation via the Groq API
  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)

Browsing your favorites, history, and statistics works offline. Generating new activity suggestions requires an internet connection.

7. Data Sharing

Rando: AI Activity Discovery does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Rando: AI Activity Discovery is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can clear your favorites, history, and progress from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
