1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories ("the App") handles your information. Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories is an AI-powered bedtime story generator for children developed by Umit UZ that creates personalized, narrated stories from your child's interests and mood.

Draeym is designed for family privacy. Your child profiles, stories, and listening history stay on your device (with optional iCloud sync). The App does not require an account and does not collect personal data from children. Story-generation details are sent to a third-party AI service only when you create a story (described below).

2. Information We Collect

Draeym does not collect personal information on remote servers. Child profiles, generated stories, and preferences are stored on your device and optionally synced to your private iCloud. No data leaves your device except AI story-generation requests (described below).

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Child profiles: Up to 5 children with names, ages (1-12), avatars, interests, daily activities, and listening stats (entered by a parent)
  • Story library: Generated stories with theme, mood, length, narrator, and favorite status
  • Preferences: Preferred story length, narrator voice, playback speed, sound effects, bedtime schedule, and reminders

2.2 Optional iCloud Sync

Draeym can sync your story library and child profiles across your Apple devices using your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud database and is not accessible to the developer. You can disable iCloud sync for Draeym at any time through your device's iCloud settings.

2.3 Data Transmitted to Third Parties

When you generate a story, the details needed to create it — your child's interests, daily activities, selected theme, mood, and length, and any special requests — are sent to Groq (via the Groq API) to generate the story text. This transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. No account or device identifiers are included.

3. No Account or Login Required

Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Groq AI

Draeym uses Groq's API to generate personalized bedtime stories. When you create a story, the story details (interests, theme, mood, length, and special requests) are sent to Groq. Groq's handling of this data is governed by Groq's own privacy policy. The Groq API key is the developer's bundled key.

4.2 Apple AVSpeechSynthesizer (on-device)

Story narration uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech (AVSpeechSynthesizer) with the narrator voices. It runs entirely on your device and does not make any network connections.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories requires an internet connection only for:

  • AI story generation via the Groq API
  • Optional iCloud sync of your story library and child profiles
  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)

Browsing your story library, playing saved stories, and narration work fully offline. Generating new stories and iCloud sync require an internet connection.

7. Data Sharing

Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Draeym: AI Bedtime Kid Stories is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Draeym is designed for children, but all profile and story data is entered and managed by a parent, stored only on your device and your private iCloud, and never collected by the developer. No personal data is collected from children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual stories, child profiles, or reset all data from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data; iCloud-synced data can be managed through your Apple iCloud settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
