Privacy Policy
App: Heartino: Heart Monitor
Developer: Umit UZ (umituz9999@gmail.com)
Effective: 22 May 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Heartino: Heart Monitor ("the App") handles your information. Heartino: Heart Monitor is a heart-rate and cardiovascular monitoring application developed by Umit UZ that measures heart rate via your camera, tracks HRV and blood pressure, and syncs with Apple Health.
Heartino is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your heart-rate and cardiovascular measurements are stored locally on your device. The App does not require an account. Health data is shared with Apple Health only if you grant permission.
2. Information We Collect
Heartino does not collect personal information on remote servers. Your measurements are stored exclusively on your device, with optional sync to your personal Apple Health (HealthKit) if you grant permission. No health data is transmitted to the developer.
2.1 Locally Stored Data
The following data is stored exclusively on your device:
- Measurements: Heart-rate readings (camera PPG and manual), heart-rate variability (HRV), and blood-pressure entries with timestamps
- Exercise sessions: Recorded exercise session summaries
- History & insights: Measurement history with filtering, trends, and generated health insights
- Profile: Age, gender, and relevant profile data used for analysis
- Preferences: HealthKit sync toggle, notification, and display settings
3. No Account or Login Required
Heartino: Heart Monitor does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Apple HealthKit
Heartino integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write heart-rate, HRV, and blood-pressure data, subject to your per-type permission. HealthKit runs entirely on your device through Apple's frameworks; no health data is shared with the developer or any third party.
4.2 Apple Watch (WatchConnectivity)
The companion Heartino Apple Watch app can measure your heart rate and sync sessions to your iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Data is exchanged directly between your paired devices; no third party is involved.
5. No Analytics or Tracking
Heartino: Heart Monitor does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.
6. Internet Usage
Heartino: Heart Monitor requires an internet connection only for:
- Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)
All measurement, history, insights, and Apple Watch sync work fully offline. No data is sent to any server.
7. Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration
Heartino can read your heart rate, heart-rate variability, and blood-pressure data from Apple Health, and save your measurements back to Apple Health so your data stays synced across your devices. This is governed by Apple's HealthKit authorization, which you grant per data type and can revoke at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health. HealthKit data never leaves Apple's frameworks and is never transmitted to the developer or any third party.
8. Camera-Based Heart-Rate Measurement
Heartino can measure your heart rate using your device's camera (photoplethysmography / PPG) when you place your fingertip over the lens. The camera is accessed only during an active measurement that you start, and no video or images are recorded, saved, or transmitted — only the changing color of your fingertip is analyzed in real time to estimate your pulse.
9. Data Sharing
Heartino: Heart Monitor does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.
10. Children's Privacy
Heartino: Heart Monitor is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Heartino is intended for adult users. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
You can manage and clear your measurement history from the App's data-management settings, and export your data. Disconnecting HealthKit in iOS Settings stops further sync. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data; data previously written to Apple Health remains in Apple Health until you delete it there.
12. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
