1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MoodMeter: Mood Tracker ("the App") handles your information. MoodMeter: Mood Tracker is a mood tracking, journaling, and emotional wellness application developed by Umit UZ with guided breathing, insights, and crisis-support quick access.

MoodMeter is designed with a privacy-first architecture. Every piece of data stays on your device — no accounts, no servers, no tracking, ever. Your moods, journals, and reflections are yours alone.

2. Information We Collect

MoodMeter does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers. All mood logs, journal entries, and insights are stored locally on your device. The App is fully offline.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Mood logs: 5-level mood entries with notes (up to 500 characters), tags, and 10 activity types
  • Journal: Journal entries with titles, content, tags, and linked mood levels
  • Insights & history: Weekly / monthly / yearly trends, streaks, distribution, and the Year in Pixels visualization
  • Onboarding & goals: Your selected goals, pain points, and onboarding completion
  • Reminders & theme: Daily reminder time and light / dark / system theme

3. No Account or Login Required

MoodMeter: Mood Tracker does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

MoodMeter uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising networks, and is fully offline. Daily reminders are delivered as local notifications.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

MoodMeter: Mood Tracker does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

MoodMeter: Mood Tracker requires an internet connection only for:

  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)
  • Tapping emergency-contact quick actions, which open the Phone app (988 / 911)

MoodMeter is fully offline. No mood, journal, or insight data is ever transmitted.

7. Data Sharing

MoodMeter: Mood Tracker does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

MoodMeter: Mood Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. MoodMeter is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can export your data as JSON or CSV, and delete individual entries or clear all data from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
