1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MoveLog: Step & Move Counter ("the App") handles your information. MoveLog: Step & Move Counter is a step, movement, and activity tracking application developed by Umit UZ with step rings, goals, achievements, and Apple Health integration.

MoveLog is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your activity data is stored locally on your device, with optional Apple Health (HealthKit) sync that you control. The App does not require an account.

2. Information We Collect

MoveLog does not collect personal information on remote servers. Your steps, floors, calories, goals, and achievements are stored locally on your device. Health data is shared with Apple Health only if you grant permission, and never with the developer.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Activity data: Steps, floors climbed, calories, distance, and daily movement history
  • Goals & achievements: Movement goals, daily streaks, and unlocked milestones (e.g. 100K steps)
  • Preferences: Goal settings, units, theme, and the Apple Health sync toggle

3. No Account or Login Required

MoveLog: Step & Move Counter does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Apple HealthKit

MoveLog integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write step, floor, and activity data, subject to your per-type permission. HealthKit runs entirely on your device through Apple's frameworks; no health data is shared with the developer or any third party.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

MoveLog: Step & Move Counter does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

MoveLog: Step & Move Counter requires an internet connection only for:

  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)

All activity tracking, goals, achievements, and history work fully offline. No data is sent to any server.

7. Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration

MoveLog can read and write your step, floor, and calorie data in Apple Health (HealthKit), subject to your permission. HealthKit data stays within Apple's frameworks and is never transmitted to the developer or any third party. MoveLog works without HealthKit too; you can grant or revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

8. Data Sharing

MoveLog: Step & Move Counter does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

9. Children's Privacy

MoveLog: Step & Move Counter is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

You can reset your goals and clear your data from within the App. Disconnecting HealthKit in iOS Settings stops further sync. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data; data previously written to Apple Health remains in Apple Health until you delete it there.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
