1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas ("the App") handles your information. Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas is a startup idea validation application developed by Umit UZ.

Dremdea is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information. All data you create is stored exclusively on your device.

2. Information We Collect

Dremdea does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers owned by the developer. No data leaves your device except for AI idea generation requests (described below).

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Profile information: Your chosen name, bio, user type (founder / indie hacker / student / product builder), and selected interest categories — stored in UserDefaults
  • Onboarding data: Whether you have completed onboarding, your selected goals, and pain points — stored in UserDefaults
  • Engagement data: Total swipe count, streak days, last open date, and validation usage count — stored in UserDefaults
  • Notification preferences: Your daily reminder time, streak alert, and new ideas notification settings — stored in UserDefaults
  • Idea collections: All ideas in your deck, liked/disliked ideas, matched ideas, saved ideas, your comments, and community votes — stored as a JSON file in the Application Support directory
  • API key: The Groq API key used for AI processing — stored securely in the system Keychain

2.2 Data Transmitted to Third Parties

When you use the AI idea generation feature, your text prompt and selected categories are sent to Groq (via the Groq API) to generate startup idea analysis. This transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. No personal identity information, device identifiers, or account data is included in these requests.

3. No Account or Login Required

Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Groq AI

Dremdea uses Groq's API to generate AI-powered startup idea analysis. When you request an idea generation or submit an idea for analysis, your text prompt and selected categories are sent to Groq. Groq's handling of this data is governed by Groq's own privacy policy.

4.2 Apple Push Notification Service (APNs)

All notifications in Dremdea are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. No remote push notification service is used.

4.3 MessageUI

When you choose to send feedback via the in-app mail composer, the message is sent using your device's email client. The app does not transmit feedback data on its own.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

The privacy toggles visible in the App's settings ("Analytics", "Crash Reporting", "Personalized Ads") are local preference placeholders only. No SDKs are connected to these toggles, and changing them does not affect any data collection.

6. Internet Usage

Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas requires an internet connection only for:

  • AI idea generation via the Groq API
  • Opening external links you tap (privacy policy, terms of service, support, etc.)

All other functionality — browsing your idea deck, reading saved ideas, viewing community content — works fully offline.

7. Data Sharing

Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Dremdea — Validate Your Startup Ideas is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact the developer so the data can be removed.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all App data by:

  • Tapping "Delete All Data" in the App's Privacy settings
  • Tapping "Clear Cache" in the App's Settings
  • Deleting the App from your device (removes all locally stored data)

No data exists on any remote server owned by the developer, so there is nothing to request deletion of from the developer.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
