1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker ("the App") handles your information. Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker is a focus timer and task tracker developed by Umit UZ that helps you build productive habits using the Pomodoro technique.

Goalio is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App does not require an account and works fully offline. No personal data is collected, sold, or shared with third parties.

2. Information We Collect

Goalio does not collect any personal information on remote servers. All data is stored locally on your device with one optional exception: iCloud sync for premium subscribers.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Profile: Your display name and bean mascot name (both chosen by you during onboarding)
  • Focus Data: Total focus minutes today and all-time, current streak, completed Pomodoro sessions, focus dates, last focus date, focus score
  • Tasks: Task titles, notes, priority levels, completion status, estimated and completed Pomodoros, creation and completion dates
  • Brain dumps: Quick-capture notes and their processed status
  • Session history: Recent focus sessions (up to 50) and full session history (up to 100 entries) with dates, durations, modes, and task associations
  • Preferences: Timer durations (Pomodoro, short break, long break, custom), daily goal hours, theme selection, auto-start breaks, notification, sound, and haptic toggles
  • App blocking: List of blocked apps, blocking rules with schedules, strict mode, and daily time limits — stored locally using Apple's Screen Time API
  • Gamification: Room decoration items and their unlock/placement state, achievement unlock state, bean mascot mood
  • Onboarding data: Selected goals, pain points, Tinder-style swipe responses, and completion status
  • Subscription status: Boolean flag for whether you have an active Pro subscription

2.2 Optional iCloud Sync (Premium Only)

If you have an active Goalio Pro subscription, you may optionally sync your preferences and focus sessions to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud database and is not accessible to the developer. You can manage or delete this data through your iCloud settings at any time. iCloud sync is not enabled by default and only activates for premium subscribers.

2.3 Screen Time Data

Goalio uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (DeviceActivity, FamilyControls, and ManagedSettings) to provide app blocking functionality. This data — including which apps you choose to block and your blocking schedules — is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

3. No Account or Login Required

Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

Goalio uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, crash reporting tools, or advertising networks. All subscriptions are managed directly through Apple's native StoreKit 2 API — no RevenueCat or similar middleware is used.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker requires an internet connection only for:

  • Optional iCloud sync (for premium subscribers who choose to enable it)
  • Opening external links you tap (privacy policy, terms, support)

All core functionality — focus timer, task management, app blocking, decorations, and achievements — works fully offline.

7. Data Sharing

Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Goalio: Focus & Task Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete all App data at any time by using the "Reset Data" option in the App's Settings. This clears all locally stored preferences, tasks, sessions, and progress. Deleting the App from your device also removes all locally stored data.

For iCloud-synced data (premium users), you can manage or delete your CloudKit data through your Apple iCloud settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
