1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker ("the App") handles your information. HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker is a habit-tracking and motivational wellness application developed by Umit UZ with habit streaks, guided quit programs, a wait timer, a private journal, and an AI coach.

HabiFox is private by design. Your habits, quit programs, journal, and progress stay on your device. The App does not require an account or sign-up. The only data that leaves your device is the chat text you send to your AI Coach, solely to generate its replies (described below).

2. Information We Collect

HabiFox does not collect personal information on remote servers. All habit, program, journal, and progress data is stored locally on your device. The only data transmitted externally is the messages you type to the AI Coach, classified as Other User Content for app functionality — not linked to you and not used for tracking.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Habits: Daily, weekly, or custom habits with icons, colors, streaks, completion rate, notes, and reminders
  • Quit programs: Guided quit programs (smoking, alcohol, sugar, social media, screen time, gambling) with milestones, money / time saved, and slip-up history
  • Wait timers & journal: Urge wait-timer sessions and your private journal entries
  • Progress: XP, level, badges, fox-buddy reactions, unlocked skins, and AI Coach conversation history
  • Preferences: Notifications, display settings, and widget configuration

2.2 AI Coach Messages

When you chat with the AI Coach, the messages you type (plus a generic system prompt and your on-device conversation history) are sent to a third-party large-language-model provider (Groq) over HTTPS to generate a reply. No name, device identifier, or account data is transmitted. You are shown a one-time consent dialog before the first message, and you can review this disclosure anytime in Settings.

3. No Account or Login Required

HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Groq AI

HabiFox's AI Coach is powered by Groq's large-language-model API. Only the chat text you send (with a generic system prompt and conversation history) is transmitted to generate replies. Groq's handling of this data is governed by Groq's own privacy policy. The Groq API key is the developer's bundled key.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker requires an internet connection only for:

  • AI Coach chat via the Groq API
  • Opening trusted resource links (CDC, NIAAA, WHO) and external links (privacy policy, terms, support)

All habit tracking, quit programs, wait timers, journal, statistics, and the home-screen widget work fully offline. Only the AI Coach requires an internet connection.

7. Data Sharing

HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

HabiFox: Daily Habit Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. HabiFox is not intended for children. The App references quitting addictions such as smoking, alcohol, and gambling for motivational purposes only and contains no gambling or restricted content.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can export your data (CSV / JSON) and reset all data from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
