1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer ("the App") handles your information. Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer is a minimalist Bible reading and daily prayer application developed by Umit UZ with built-in audio narration, guided reading plans, and verse bookmarks.

Noelio is designed for privacy. Your bookmarks and reading history belong to you and stay on your device. The App does not require an account and does not track you. Scripture text is fetched on demand from a public Bible API.

2. Information We Collect

Noelio does not collect personal information on remote servers. Your bookmarks, reading plans, and history are stored locally on your device. No personal data is sent to the Bible API — only the book, chapter, and verse you request.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • Bookmarks: Verses and passages you have saved
  • Reading plans & progress: Your active reading plans and daily progress through them
  • History: Your recent reading history and last-read position
  • Preferences: Font size and display settings

3. No Account or Login Required

Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 bible-api.com

Noelio fetches scripture text from the public bible-api.com service. Only the book, chapter, and verse you request are sent; no personal information, account data, or device identifiers are transmitted. bible-api.com is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

4.2 Apple AVSpeechSynthesizer (on-device)

Audio narration uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech (AVSpeechSynthesizer) with the voices installed on your device. It runs entirely on your device and does not make any network connections.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer requires an internet connection only for:

  • Fetching scripture text from the bible-api.com public API
  • Opening external links (privacy policy, terms, support)

Bookmarks, reading plans, and history are always available. Fetching new scripture text requires an internet connection.

7. Data Sharing

Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Noelio: Bible & Daily Prayer is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

You can clear your bookmarks and reading history from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
