1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Plantfier ("the App") handles your information. Plantfier is an AI-powered plant identification and care management developed by Umit UZ.

Plantfier is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App does not require an account, and your data is stored locally on your device.

2. Information We Collect

Plantfier collects minimal data to provide plant identification and care management services. When you use the camera to identify plants, photos are sent to Groq Vision API for AI processing and immediately discarded after identification. We do not store your photos on our servers. Camera access is used to take photos of plants for identification. Photo library access is used to select existing plant photos from your device. Notifications are used for watering and care reminders. We store your plant collection data locally on your device including plant names, species, locations, watering schedules, health scores, and care history. All plant data is stored locally — no cloud sync or third-party data storage. We do not collect personal identifiers, location data, or usage analytics. No tracking or profiling is performed.

2.1 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored exclusively on your device:

  • User preferences and settings
  • App content and data you create
  • Camera-captured content (stored locally only)

2.2 Local Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage mechanisms: Plantfier uses local storage only. No iCloud sync, cloud backup, or third-party data storage. Your plant data remains private on your device. Photos used for AI identification are processed through Groq Vision API and immediately deleted after identification. We do not store your photos on any server.

  • Plant collection (names, species, locations, health scores)
  • Watering schedules and care reminders
  • Care history and task logs
  • App settings and preferences
  • Notification preferences

3. No Account or Login Required

Plantfier does not require an account, registration, or sign-in of any kind. All functionality is accessible immediately on launch without any credentials.

4. Third-Party Services

Plantfier integrates the following services: Groq Vision API (AI Plant Identification) Photos are sent to Groq Vision API for plant identification. Images are transmitted over encrypted connections and immediately deleted after processing. Groq does not store your photos. No user data is retained or shared. RevenueCat (Subscription Management) RevenueCat processes subscription purchases and receipts. Only anonymized transaction identifiers and subscription status are shared for verification. All payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple Push Notifications (APNs) Watering and care reminders are delivered through Apple's Push Notification service. Notification content is generated locally on your device. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not use analytics or tracking services.

4.1 RevenueCat

Plantfier offers subscriptions managed through RevenueCat, which processes only the standard Apple App Store transaction data required to validate your subscription. No personal information or app content is shared beyond what Apple provides.

4.2 AI Processing Service

Plantfier uses secure AI processing services for its AI-powered features. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and deleted immediately after processing.

5. No Analytics or Tracking

Plantfier does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV), or third-party tracking of any kind. There are no cookies, beacons, or similar tracking mechanisms.

6. Internet Usage

Plantfier requires an internet connection only for:

  • Subscription validation (when making or restoring a purchase)
  • AI feature requests to a secure processing service (encrypted in transit, deleted immediately after use)
  • Opening external links you tap (support page, privacy policy, terms of service)

7. Data Sharing

Plantfier does not sell, rent, share, or disclose any user data to third parties. Since no personal data is collected by the developer, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Plantfier is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. To delete all App data, you can:

  • Delete the App from your device, which removes all locally stored data
  • Reset the App's data through iOS Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Plantfier > Delete App

No data exists on any remote server, so there is nothing to request deletion of from the developer.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
